So...

April 2nd, 2007 at 10:10 pm

I'm probably not doing the $20 challenge in the way it was designed. My goal in this challenge was to save $20 or more a month in unconventional ways. Loose change I didn't spend or found while out and about, things sold on forums, etc.

So with that in mind, I received $5.15 for an item today and I found 0.01 which brings me to $47.42.

I've been saving my little dribs and drabs in a cute little bank which I will empty each month and deposit in my credit union savings account.

That's the way I do it too! I don't think you can do it wrong - just find what works for you.

That's the way I do it too. Like you, I had money all over the house (just in case money) not doing anything. I started taking my food coupon money and putting in the challenge account as well. You can do what you want. Each month, I keep a list of where the money deposited came from. It could be found money in street, pennies from my husband or left over pennies from my food money, coupon money, rebates, survey money( this is new to me), and bank customer referral money As time goes on you'll come up with diffierent ways that fit you.

Today I received a reimbursement from my employer for some supplies I had purchased. I had forgotten all about this so it will go in the challenge fund too!
